We’re a prop and costume making husband and wife team from Seattle! Since 2009 we’ve been building props and costumes with each other and our friends. Our passion for the creative process has pushed us to create bigger and more elaborate pieces and in 2012, I turned Punished Props into a full time career. In 2015 Brittany joined the team and the two of us have dedicated ourselves to providing our fans with the best video tutorials and guide books that we can muster!  ~Bill Doran

I’ve always been a tinkerer and DIY’er, but it wasn’t until an incredibly over-zealous Halloween in 2007 that I discovered that prop building and fabrication was what I wanted to do with my life.  Armed with an art degree and a desire to learn, I spent my evenings for the past 9 years in a sweltering workshop making dust and noise, learning the craft.  Finally in 2016, after watching several of my friend find stellar success in the industry, I took the plunge into full-time prop-making.

I’ve been building things for as long as I can remember. Propmaking has been a hobby and borderline obsession of mine since the end of 2007. Halloween was a gateway drug back then, and ever since I’ve spent my evenings and free time sculpting, molding, sanding, and carving. I tend to mainly skew towards replicas from video games and sci-fi, because everyone loves a good fantasy rifle.

Why Beer Money Props you ask? Well...My day job keeps the rent paid and the lights on, so I tend to work for roughly the cost of a few 6'ers of the overpriced (but exceptionally delicious) craft beer I enjoy.

Costume and prop making has been a long standing hobby of mine. My mom showed me how to use a sewing machine sometime around 3rd grade, and I’ve made my own costumes for Halloween ever since. I started building things – guns, swords, helmets – from wood and old junk even earlier, and I’ve never stopped tinkering with and making things.
