The challenge

Build a custom creator gift around a recognizable in-game object.

The axe had to read as Gibraltar's heirloom from Apex Legends at real scale, with a resin blade that catches light like the in-game version, as a one-off gift piece.

The approach

Hoku modeled and printed the axe, laser-cut the 100 Thieves mark, painted the internals and base coat, and cast the blade in tinted resin for a candy-like finish.
