Hand prop and accessories for a Zimone, Mystery Unraveler cosplay from Magic: The Gathering, built as a private commission and matched to the card art.
The challenge
Pull a prop off a playing card.
The source was a single piece of card art, so proportions and construction had to be worked out from one angle while keeping the finish crisp enough for close-up photography.
The approach
Hoku modeled the device from the card art, printed and finished it in candy teal over gunmetal with gold pinstriping, and produced the matching crown, glasses, earrings, and ring.
